Why should the accounting dept be more flexible in the art/ marketing dept?
I am looking for a way to express to the accting dept why better quality/ more expensive advertising/marketing tools will benefit the company in the long run. Basically they will have more numbers to look at in the end.

- Woo, such a tough situation! I'm a Copywriter, and I swear those number crunchers NEVER understand that from high cost comes quality. Take a look at the Craig's List ads seeking Graphic Designers/Art Directors/Copwriters - they want to pay you pennies for creative ideas that takes hours, days, MONTHS to perfect. I don't think there is a clear cut way to explain to them why they need to pay more. Possibly take them popular advertisements from Nike or another well known company that SELL product like crazy and ask them how much they think the campaign cost. Find out how much it really cost and they will slowly begin to appreciate how spending money makes money. Showing them a successful case study might make them come around. Good luck!
